Engineering method of calculating laminated timber elements reinforced with composite tapes

Annotation. In today's world, construction requires environmentally friendly materials that cause minimal damage to the environment. At same time, they must have great strength and be resistant various types of external influences. Timber structures, which are made renewable natural a relatively high strength, can rightfully considered as such material. Despite fact timber itself has certain negative properties, namely tendency shrink swell, rot, anisotropy special attention in construction, laminated structures (LTS) these disadvantages already more manageable. Beams one main structures. Laminated beams reinforcement allows significantly increasing their stiffness strength.
 The article proposes methodology for calculating elements rectangular section reinforced with composite tapes. Refined formulas determining efficient geometric mechanical characteristics provided. proposed method was compared another analytical calculation numerical modeling LIRA-CAD software complex using finite element method. It proved this reinforcing is promising relevant.
